The Importance of Hospice

Everyone deserves to live and die with dignity. Hospice care provides end-of-life care that alleviates symptoms so you or your loved one can spend the remaining time with as little discomfort as possible. We can help with various symptoms such as fatigue, insomnia and much more. We provide counseling, assistance, comfort and support to you and your family.
Providing care to loved ones can also be stressful for family members. We are here to support you and your family. We can educate and assist families in providing the best care to their loved one and provide respite when needed. This can help alleviate stress on you and your loved ones, making the very most of your time left together.
Hospice care is end-of-life care. While our main purpose is to help manage the symptoms surrounding your illness, our focus is more than that. It is also about taking care of you or your loved one as a whole, including tending to your physical, spiritual, mental and emotional needs.

Madrona Hospice is available to any adult of any age who is facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice is a benefit covered 100% by Medicare and most insurance plans provide coverage as well. Testimonials

“Being a volunteer has given me the opportunity to help people who feel scared, helpless and often alone. I never realized how much suffering I could relieve just by being a friendly face and having a conversation with someone.”

“Life seems to have a purpose when you volunteer your time for a wonderful organization. I have really enjoyed working as a volunteer in the office! The staff is great to work with and is so dedicated to the patients and clients they support. Thanks for allowing me to help!”

“I have enjoyed and learned a lot from the trainings offered by the staff. I really appreciate how the Volunteer Coordinator made the trainings available so that I was able to be part of the team.”

“It gives me an opportunity to give back to those that have made a difference in this world. And if one visit brings happiness to those I visit, I have been blessed.”
